I spotted the last arrival and jogged over. "Hey! Here is his bright green halter, black lead, and black blanket with bright green trim." I said as I handed the things to Jess. "There is a hitching post to try his mom Goddess up at so you can play with him, and some brushes and treats over there. Have fun getting his halter on!" I said as I pointed to to fence. Chase and Ben had arrived with the hot chocolates, offering anyone a tall steaming mug. [OOC: You know how Jazz acts so go ahead and role play him ]

ooc: Sorry I haven't replied in so long!
Sherlock nodded, "Thanks!" She grabbed a bucket of grain and gently shook it as she approached Flirt, hoping the mare would come to her so she could catch Mavy. She kept her eyes low and her profile unthreatening as she approached the mare.

Chad reached out his hand, for Ben to sniff. Then took a step forward, to scrach behind his ear. Hey little guy. Chad said gently, he couldn't wait to start working with the colt, and it would be good if Ben could have some memory of Chad's vioce.

Mavy slowly started to walk towards the grain, but stopped when his mother didn't. Flirt flicked an ear and raised her head, letting out a low nicker as she walked over and nosed the grain, munching away.
Ben leaned into Chad, his small ears pricked forward as he wiggled his upper lip in enjoyment.
OOC: Ok, you both and RP the colts, you know how they are now, and Mavy will let you halter him now that you have Flirt, just make sure she is tied.

Sherlock smiled and carefully tied Flirt. Mavy stood cautiously by his mother's side, and Sherlock clipped the lead rope to the halter before slowly approaching Mavy with the halter. He eyed her warily, but Flirt didn't move, so he followed her lead and stayed close to her. Sherlock clipped the lead rope to the halter and walked up to Flirt. She stroked the mare for a few minutes. Mavy, wanting attention too, walked up to her and Sherlock started stroking his neck and face. Mavy sighed, relaxing, and Sherlock slipped the halter over his nose and fastened it. The colt snorted and shook his head enthusiastically, trying to get the annoying halter off. It didn't come off, so he dashed away at a canter. Sherlock, not totally caught off guard, managed to circle him and slow him down. "Whoa Mavy!" She called. Mavy pawed the ground and after a few minutes of determindly trying to get the halter off, he finally gave in and stopped trying to get it off. "Good boy." Said Sherlock. She walked up to him and stroked him in reward. Mavy nickered and nudged her playfully, then he started trotting off, dragging her along. Sherlock patiently turned his head, making him slow his pace, and said calmly, "Whoa." Mavy shook his head impatiently but slowed a little as she gently tugged back on the lead.

Ben and Chase came back out, this time with a huge plate of cookies and goodies."Hey! Anyone who wants some hot chocolate and goodies come on over!" He yelled to anyone who was finished with their new babies!

Once I was tired out by Poe I walked slowly toward the hot chocolate and cookies. Thanks I say taking one cookie and a cup of hot chocolate. Finding a comfortable place on the ground I sat down and took a big sip of hot chocolate and bite of cookie.

Chad smiled and sat down in the grass. Ben stood a little wobbly, so Chad gave him some support, as he gently groomed the young colt. Ben enjoyed it and layied his head against Chad's held out arm. Chad continue to groom. You are one stunning colt Ben Chad said gently. Ben turned his little head toward Chad and gave a soft little nicker. It was so cute, your being modest already Chad laughed. Grooming the beautiful bay body of the colt, didn't take to long, but Chad enjoyed in. Chad contiuned to talk too Ben and soon he was finish grooming. Wow Chad said, as he removed the support he gave Ben. Chad moved back. Ben watched Chad and took a step forward his step was wobbling, and so was the next after. However Ben showed no interest in help. He took another two steps, before he was standing infront of Chad. Chad smiles and scraches the colt behind his ear. Ben sure did have spunk and thats what would help him get better. Chad grabed the golden yellow halter, and showed it to Ben. Ben sinffed it, then nudged Chad's hand gently. Chad smiled and was about to put the halter on. When Ben's back legs fell. He looked like he was seating in a chair. Chad laughed, and offer Ben a helping hand to get back up, but Ben wouldn't allow it. Ben sat their a few seconds, before getting one wobbly back leg up again. Then he got the other, he was wobbly and just about fell down as he got his back legs up again. However he fell forward, not sideways. So he fell into Chad. Chad gently helped Ben back up, and this time he helped the colt stay up, as he put the golden yellow halter on. Then he put the black blanket with golden trim. Ben looked amazing. That golden yellow halter made his small head show beautifully. Next Chad clipped on the black lead. Chad stood up, and started to walk Ben. They walked a bit slow, and Ben was wobbly, but still he stayed up. Chad walked around Sonata once. Ben fell into Chad's leg two times, and Chad stopped to let Ben recover. As they walked Chad spook to help encourage the colt. Then Chad stopped, he could see that Ben was a little stronger as he walked. Even through he fell a few times, he always came back. Chad bent down and wrapped his arm around the colt's neck loosly. You did great Chad smiled. Ben leen against Chad's chest, walking took a lot out of engery from Ben. Chad gently took the lead, halter, and blanket off. Chad leened up against the post, as Ben laied down beside him, and laid his little head on Chad's leg. Chad strached Ben's ears and he looked around. He saw Ben and another person bringing out some cookies and goodies. He didn't want to leave Ben yet, Chad thought as the small colt nipped at his jeans playfully.

OOC: Ok, anyone who hasn't posted in awhile finish up and grab some goodies before you leave haha. I hate threads which the character never actually goes Matty watched Ben and Chad. Grabbing a cup of cocoa, a cookie, and some tarts, she headed down and placed the things beside Chad's leg. "Take as long as you want." she whispered as she watched little Ben snuggle up to his new owner, his small velvet nose twitching as he nosed at the goodies. Poe was such a character. He followed Melissa around like an adoring puppy.

Tori yawned loudly, blinking blearily as if the sun just got brighter. Okay. Time to go back to momma. I cooed, leading her back to Sin. I fastened the blanket firmly around her, but Tori was tired enough. All these new people and the commotion had taken quite a bit out of her. I loosened her halter and slipped it off, doing the same to Sin. Sin trotted off to the far end of the field, away from most of the people so she and Tori could be alone until Matty came and took them in. Tori followed at a poky walk, nudging her mom lazily once she caught up. Her tiny star disappeared behind her mother's flank as she nursed. Once she had her fill, she flopped down on the ground, Sin standing guard a few feet away.
I slipped out of the corral and fetched Axel. The colt looked like he had gotten into a fight with Drake through the fence, because both colts had a few scratches. I put Whinnie with Drake in the trailer, making sure Axel got in last so he wouldn't flip out. I knew I was leaving early, but I had to get back to do my chores. After all, there's nothing better to do on break than chores! Bye! I called out, jumping into the truck (it miraculously started) and pulling out to the street.

Hearing the hoofbeats behind her Melissa turned and smiled at Poe's adoring face. The gray colt may never become the champion Prince had become but she would still love him and treasure him until his dying day. Matty you're going to have a hard time training him after today. Melissa teased scratching Poe's forelock and the gray whickered contently, ears flopped.

I waved good-bye to Soliel and her troop, having hastily shoved a cup and some goodies into her hands before she left. "Haha yes, he won't forget you! I am sure you won't even recognize him once he is two and half! However he'll be in the barns untill he is a yearling, then he is booted to live outside for a year, in the pastures, and partly in the mountainside. It makes them real horses, they have respect, few bad habits, and aren't sick of people when they come in, even though it takes me a good couple weeks to get them tame again. Plus they still have to come to the fence for their dinner and breakfast everyday, so it's not like they are totally wild!" I laughed.

OOC: Haha
Thanks Chad replied. Chad laughed as Ben nosed at the goodies. Chad grabbed a cookie and took a bite. He noticed the time on his watch Oh I have to go. Chad started to get up, and Ben slowly stood him. Ben shook his tiny head, and stared at Chad with a where you going look. Chad smiled and scratched Ben behind his ears. He turned to Matty I have go, there are some people coming to rds. I had a great time with Ben. Chad smiled and looked at Ben again, before picking up the goodies that Matty gave him.

ooc: thanks!
Sherlock smiled at Mavy, who had finally slowed, although he was prancing eagerly, shifting his weight from side to side. He looked fresh and full of energy. Sherlock led him over to where she had the blanket and gently let him sniff it. Mavy walked up to it while Sherlock held the end of the lead loosely in her hand. He sniffed it and nosed it. Finding it non-violent, he relaxed and Sherlock started to scratch his neck. Mavy leaned into her, sighing appreciatively, and Sherlock gently rubbed the blanket over his body. Mavy started, and hopped sideways, but Sherlock held the lead tight and he didn't get far. She kept the blanket on him, and he twitched irritably. Only when he stopped moving around and tossing his head did she take it off.
"Good boy, Mavy." She said. He snorted. She sat the blanket on his back again and he flicked his ears back toward her once but then pricked them again, hearing the sound of Ben and Chase coming back with hot chocolate and cookies. Sherlock buckled the blanket, and Mavy, paying more attention to the two men with the goodies, didn't even bat an eye. Sherlock patted him, bringing his attention back to her, and then she trotted him over to the fence, letting him move with the blanket on him. Mavy wasn't at all reluctant to move with the snug blanket on. On the contrary, Sherlock had difficulty keeping him to a trot, as the colt kept on wanting to move faster. "You're going to be a racer, boy. You certainly are." Sherlock muttered to him. As they approached the fence she turned to Mavy, stroking him as she removed the blanket. She layed it over the fence, and then somewhat reluctantly removed the halter. Mavy nudged her once in farewell and then set off at a fast canter across the field, bucking a little in his free spirits.
Sherlock turned and accepted a mug of hot chocolate and a cookie. "Thanks." She said gratefully, taking a little sip. She watched her colt as he frolicked around the pasture. She hated to leave him, but soon he'd be at Hawkstone and she'd have another colt to be bringing up. She finished off her drink and then turned to Matty, "Well, Mavy is going to be one great horse. I'll see you around, but I have to get back to my other horses."
