Quote coming soon! - Lana[/li][li] Major Horse Shows CHAMPION Spartan is an outstanding racer, sire, and horse overall. He is in popular demand and why wouln't he be? He is a Champion on MHS. A title he had earned! Matty you are doing something very right with him, so keep it up! - Lana[/li][li] Fathom CHAMPION Geronimo stands out above the rest. The first Xenophon foal to actually catch the public's eye and win without flaws. He is impeccable, and although he may not be the last Xenophon to win big he will always be remembered as the first and the greatest. He does what the imagination can only dream of, and in that he has become one of Fathom's first Champions. May he always bring us wonder. - Becki[/li][li] Eclipse Awards 2006 Horse of the Year Quote Coming Soon - Sherlock[/li][li] Eclipse Awards 2006 Older Male of the Year Quote Coming Soon - Sherlock[/li][li] Major Horse Shows Racing Emmy OMG it was like hands down! Quotes From Races The Belmont Stakes: In the 8 position is the horse that'll be giving Admiral's Revenge a run for his money, Geronimo. This colt is an MHS champ, and has come 2nd to the favorite in every race so far. He seems to be paying a little too much attention to the fillies just ahead, though. Hopefully he'll get his mind on racing once they get started. - Sherlock
The Feburary Dawn Treader: We have some perfect weather here on the track. The sun is shining, bight clouds fill the sky, and the horse are ready to run *sigh*. Geronimo has a bit of trouble loudling, as he is paying a bit more attention to the fillies than the bit. Good, they got him in the gate. The other horses load nicely, except for the Red Sun Rises, who balks at the last second and throws his rider. They got her back on and a good pop from the whip gets him in check. All the horses are in, looking forever excited.
And the gates are open! First to the front with an early lead is Second Chance, followed by Geronimo in second, Devil's Advocate in third, Sweet Symphony in fourth, and Valentino in fifth. The other three, Just for Kicks, Northern Dancer, and the Red Sun Rises are far behind from the others. They're rounding the first turn. Second Chance in first, but Geronimo gaining. Sweet Symphony has a nose lead on Devil's Advocate. Valentino is running his heart out, staying at Advocate's tail.
There they go down the back stretch, Chance still in the lead. Geronimo stumbled and fell back, coming up beside Sweet Symphony. Devil's Advocate seems to be staring at something...oh my! He just bucked, falling into the soft turf. It seems he was distracted by something...reports are saying it was a flag. Or it might've been the enticing smell of the fresh grass. Anyway, he's standing now, but I can't say as much for his rider, who's laying on the ground...Oh, she got up, though she's scarred pretty good. Advocate is uneasy as he prances aside when Red Sun, Northern Dancer, and Just for Kicks fly past.
Here we go, down the final turn...Chance lost his grip on the grass, costing him a stride and the lead. Geronimo takes his spot, Sweet Symphony behind him with Valentino in third, Just for Kicks in fourth, Chance in fifth, Northern Dancer in sixth, and Red Sun in seventh. We are heading down the home stretch, Geronimo leading by half a length. Sweet Symphony is...slowing? I think she did a lead change in mid-stride, kicking a bit as she went at a gallop. But she recovered and is packed in third, Valentino in second and Geronimo still in first. Just for Kicks has kept fourth, boxing Symphony in. Chance and Northern Dancer are neck and neck while Red Sun is still a length behind. And they cross the line...
1st place: Geronimo 2nd: Valentino 3rd: Sweet Symphony 4th: Just for Kicks 5th: Northern Dancer 6th: Second Chance 7th: Red Sun Rises 8th: Devil's Advocate - Soliel
