About Him
Tsornin means 'sungold', and when you see the sunlight reflect off his golden coat, you'll know why. Photos cannot capture the color of Tor's coat; chestnut yet almost a palomino when the sun hits it. His coat truly looks like liquid gold when you stand next to him in person. Tor has the most beautiful chocolate brown eyes just like his sire Geronimo, but he sometimes has his dam's bull headed nature. Tor is sleek and fast, and is by far the most competitive horse Matty has ever seen. He is already liking the ladies a little too much, but unless he is just being a total jerk that day, nothing comes between him and the victory. Over the winter Tor has started to fill out and mature, his chest becoming broader, his mind more focused. He keeps growing, and already he is starting to look like a stallion, not a colt like he did at the 2007 Breeder's Cup.
He won't take crap from anyone or anything, and much like his grandmother, Stormwing, he has a force to be reckoned with vibe. His conformation is great, and his sungold coat and white markings are easy to pick out in a race along with the purple and black colors of Godolphin. Tor is usually pretty well behaved, but take him on, and he will take you down. He is gentle around Matty, and has bonded with her over the winter months even more, as they train together and prepare for the 2008 race season. Tor is a feirce competitor, and a definite eye catcher. He loves the cameras, the attention, just like his sire, and he is not easily defeated. If he loses a race, he is ten times more determined to win the next. Named after the Sungold equine of the Hills, Tsornin means Sungold, and that is what he is, with his golden chestnut coat, and brave stance. He was the most independent and outgoing foal to ever be born on Godolphin, and is by far the most competitive. He has matured into a handsome two-year old, and we are just totally pumped after his Maiden win and Breeder's Cup appearance and cannot wait for the rest of the season!
