The Photo Gallery
Godolphin needs no photos. To some, it is located in the deep valleys of British Columbia, Canada, to others, it is imagined under the hot sun of California, and yet, some people still picture it on a lush island off the coast of Mear Island, surrounded by tropical waters. Most of the photos that were up have been taken down for a simple reason; Godolphin is original. Everyone who has passed through its gates has a special image that they connect to this property. From the fountains, statues, manicured lawns, oak panneled stables with the gold nameplates and leather halters, to the crammed and beautiful lounge, it is original to every single person who has imagined it. Godolphin Stables is hard to describe, those two words when said to someone else has much more meaning than comprehended. When I think of Godolphin I think of the warm smell of horses, the dew-dropped grass on the tracks in the early morning, the snow topped mountains in the winter, and the buzzing of excited voices as a huge race day comes closer and nerves start to bubble to the surface, yet it has the comfy air or people who really care. Godolphin is not a robotic stable, but it is neat and proper, and you can see that the people who live and work there care for each and every horse, and really put pride into the work they do. Godolphin is like no other, so it needs no photos. When you write about going to Godolphin, all you need is the cherry tree lined drive in you mind, and the rest will follow as you submerge into your own mind with all it's memories. We have posted up a few pictures of the barns, but it is up to you to create the rest for yourself.
